Surrounded by her family, and after a courageous battle with cancer, Bonny passed away peacefully at home on April 1st, 2024 at the age of 70. Bonny Mondry (nee Kennedy) was predeceased by her first husband of 38 years Malcolm Campbell, her second husband Richard Mondry and brother Terry Kennedy. Daughter of the late James and Joyce Kennedy. Partner of Allan Campbell. Dear sister of Dennis (Jacky) and Janice (Paul). Loving mother of Jennifer (Craig), and Lindsay (Bill). Proud Nana of Logan, Blake, Andrew and Nathan and to granddaughter Hayley. Bonny will also be missed by her entire extended family and friends.

Bonny was involved passionately at both St. Andrews and Essa Road Presbyterian churches in Barrie, serving on many volunteer committees and was an Elder for several years. Past member and former President of the Barrie Canoe and Kayak Club, she loved canoe and camping trips and travels throughout Ontario and beyond. Bonny was a life-long blood donor giving 147 donations, saving countless lives.

When the cold months set in, Bonny loved to “winter” in Mexico alongside her sister and brother-in-law and the many friends she made in Playa Del Carmen. She loved to travel and see the world and visited many countries including Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and Iceland to name a few but was happiest in her time spent at the “Hunt Camp” in Orange Valley in the beautiful Parry Sound area.

Visitation will occur at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St.,Barrie on Friday April 5th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm with a celebration of life Saturday April 6th with service to start at 1:00pm.
