Adeline (Addie) Carisse passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, ON at 93 years of age.
Addie was born on July 16, 1930, and resided in Capreol, ON, for most of her life, where she raised her children, created cherished memories with her grandchildren and enjoyed many long-lasting friendships. Addie moved to Barrie, ON, in 2007, where she made new special friendships and spent quality time with her family. Addie was a talented baker and cook, and her butter tarts were enjoyed by many people.
Addie was predeceased by her parents, Sebastiano (Sam) and Angelina (Bucci) Farelli; her two brothers, Jim Farelli (Joan) and Micheal Farelli (Mary); her son Terry, her grandson Tyler, and the father of her children, Uldage (Al) Carisse. She is survived by her children David (Annie), Danny (Ronda), Michelle (Alan) Saradoc and Dannette (David) Berard. Addie was loved and gave love to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and, in the past year, she welcomed a great-great-grandson. Addie was also very fond of her sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews and was a reluctant but tolerant Noni to many grand fur babies.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and volunteers at the Livita Barrington Retirement Residence for their compassionate care of Addie during the past few months that she lived there.
Friends are invited to a visitation at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, February 23rd, 2024 from 11 am until the time we celebrate Addie’s life in the Chapel at 12 PM. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception gathering in the lounge. Interment at the Innisvale Cemetery, 7551 5th Side Rd., Innisfil will follow.
