Suddenly passed at his home in Barrie on Friday, October 2, 2026 at the age of 76. Dear brother of Ken (Sandra), Richard (Mary) and the late Larry. Proud uncle of Mark (Avril), Brad (Tara), Ryan, Taryn, Chris (Gill), Shannon and great-uncle of Tyler. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Freda. Will be missed by extended family members and dear friends.
Allan was a dedicated teacher with the local public school board in Barrie for many years. Outside of the classroom, he enjoyed playing cards and especially looked forward to spending time with his regular group of card-playing friends. Allan had a fondness for collecting cows of all kinds, as well as blue and green bottles, collections that brought him much enjoyment over the years. He also took great pleasure in decorating his home, both the front and backyard for the various holidays throughout the year.
In keeping with Allan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. Allan will be laid to rest in the future at the Barrie Union Cemetery, 338 Sunnidale Rd., Barrie.
