It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amanda Lynn Mary DeSantos, who unexpectedly died on May 29, 2025, at the age of 31, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie.

Amanda was born on January 27, 1994, and lived a life full of love, compassion, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her huge heart, kind spirit, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

Amanda is deeply loved and forever missed by her spouse, Mark, and their son, Cooper. She is the beloved daughter of Donna, and daughter-in-law of Doug (the late Kathy). A cherished sister to Tessa (Ryan), loving aunt to Raelynn, dear niece to Julie Grigg-Mori (Dino), Earl Grigg (Jenny) and a lifelong best friend to Danielle. She will be missed by Cooper’s loving godparents, Kate and Justin; her very close friend group, the ‘Mates’, and so many other close family and friends.

She touched the lives of many family and friends with her generosity and gentle heart, and her memory will continue to live on through those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, June 6th, 2025 from 6-9 pm and the following day on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 from 11 am until the time of Service inside the Chapel at 12 pm. Reception will immediately follow inside the lower lounge. A private family interment will take place in the future at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 208 Sunnidale Rd., Barrie.

In lieu of flowers donations in Amanda's memory can be made to the Neurofibromatosis society (charitable #119053775 RR0001) and are greatly appreciated by the family.
