Passed away peacefully on April 19 2026, at the age of 88 surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Francesco (2025). Loving mother of Lucy (Costa), Elaine (Mike), Mike (Judy)and Frank. Devoted grandmother of Andréa (Melissa), Alex (Sarah), Quinton, Nicholas (Taryn) Austin, Jeremy, Samantha and Beckett. Proud great grandmother of Gabriel, Porter and Isabella.
Angela was born in Palazzo San Gervasio Italy. As a young girl she learned to sew and became a very talented seamstress. She was married in 1960 and moved to Canada with her husband Frank to start their new adventure together.
They started a life in Toronto with very modest beginnings. In 1967 Angela and Frank moved to Barrie with their family where they made lasting friendships.
Angela worked as head seamstress at Burnetts and Struth a Scottish import company. where she excelled at her craft making Kilts and Jackets. She was very well liked and respected by her colleagues. The highlight of her career was when she made a jacket for Prince Charles.
Angela was an incredibly warm loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was always there for her family and friends.
Everyone who knew her loved her. She will be profoundly missed.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Sunday, April 26th, 2026 from 2-5 pm. Funeral Mass will take place the following day on Monday, April 27th, 2026 at the St. John Vianney Parish, 13 Baldwin Ln., Barrie at 11 am. Guests are invited to remain for a reception following the Mass in the Church Hall from 12-1:30 pm. Entombment at the Innisvale Cemetery, 7551 5th Sideroad., Innisfil will take place immediately following the reception at 2:15 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Angela's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to Diabetes Canada and are greatly appreciated by the family.
