Athanasia (Soula) Pseekos, age 89, of Barrie, Ontario, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, surrounded by love.

Soula is survived by her beloved children, Evagelia (Eva) Bravakis and Konstadinos (Gus) Pseekos; her cherished daughter-in-law, Sandra Pseekos, and son-in-law, Panagiotis Bravakis; and her adored grandchildren, Anastasios (Tom) Bravakis, Konstadina (Dina) Psyrris, and Anastasios (Stasio) Pseekos. She also leaves behind her grandchildren-in-law, Katerina Bravakis, Peter Psyrris, and Rachel Batarao, as well as her precious great-granddaughter, Vienna Athanasia Psyrris, who brought her immense joy and pride.

Soula devoted her life wholeheartedly to her family, expressing her love through unforgettable Greek meals, warm hospitality, and the creation of countless cherished memories. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the comforting aromas of her cooking. She had a deep love for Greek music and Greek dancing—traditions that brought her happiness and allowed her to keep her heritage alive for generations to come.

Born on October 10, 1936, in the beautiful region of the Peloponnese, in the village of Paliochounia, Soula was one of seven siblings and a treasured daughter to Ioanna and Ioannis. At a young age, she migrated to Canada alongside the love of her life, her husband Anastasios. Together, they built a life rooted in hard work, faith, and devotion to family. As proud business owners, they created a lasting legacy through their venture, Crossovers, providing not only for their family but also for their community.

Soula had a truly one-of-a-kind personality—strong, loving, generous, and full of life. After a lifetime of devotion as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is now reunited with her beloved husband, dancing by his side once again. Soula will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Visitation will take place at Holy Cross - St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, 572 Penetanguishene Rd., Barrie, on Monday, December 22 from 12 PM until the time of service at 2 PM.
