The family is saddened to announce the sudden passing of their beloved husband, father, son and brother, Brandon Philip Sills to a short acute illness while on vacation in Cuba on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at the age of 42 years. Beloved husband of Julie Moore for 10 years. Devoted father of Parker and Mireya (Reya) Sills. Loving son of Philip and Diane Sills (née Clemmens) and son-in-law of Rosemary and the late James Moore (2021). Dear brother of Jordan (Morgan) Sills and brother-in-law of Teri-Lea (Jason) Wardrope. Proud uncle of Kai Sills, Jordan (Jayden) Wardrope and Danielle Wardrope. Will be missed by extended family members and many dear friends.

Brandon was born and raised in Barrie by his parents, Phil and Diane, alongside his younger brother Jordan.  He attended Maple Grove Public School as a little boy and Barrie North Collegiate Institute for high school.  He went on to graduate from Durham College with the designation of Automotive Service Technician.

Brandon worked at Barrie Honda for many years before moving his tools to Nissan in Newmarket for a brief duration.

In 2013, he married Julie, and they started planning a family.  He was the love of Julie's life.

Brandon then made his way back to working close to home and spent his last nine years with the Barrie Nissan dealership.

Brandon loved to tear things down and rebuild them anew.  He could fix practically anything.  Over the years, he always tried to fix things before replacing them or having someone else fix them. He would attempt to build many things himself before buying new.  On most occasions, he succeeded.

Although Brandon was certified to repair automobiles, that was not his passion. His real passion was real-estate and renovations.  He owned and managed multiple rental properties.  Brandon's Dad, a general contractor was Brandon's biggest role model and mentor.

Brandon had the gift of gab passed down to him by his Mom. He loved engaging in conversation with strangers, loved ones, and friends.  He had a very kind heart.

Brandon enjoyed traveling and spending time on family vacations, learning to play new songs on his guitar, playing video games, and trying to perfect his golf swing.

Although Brandon was a busy man, he was never too busy to spend time with his family.  His son Parker was born in 2015 and is now eight years old.  His daughter Reya made her way into this world on New Year's Day 2017 and is now six.  Brandon loved his kids more than anything else and he was an extraordinary Daddy.  He gave his children many years of love, guidance and play.  Those years were such a gift.

Brandon will truly be missed by many.

Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street., Barrie on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023 from 11 am until the time we celebrate Brandon's life in the Chapel at 1 pm. Reception to follow inside the Lower Lounge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either The Seasons Centre for Grieving Children or to Hospice Simcoe and are greatly appreciated by the family. There will be an opportunity at Brandon's Celebration of Life to raise your glass in a toast to honour him and the enduring love of family and friendships in this life and beyond.
