Peacefully passed at the Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on Wednesday, August 27th, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Gwen (née Geddes) for 52 years. Loving father of Terry (Stephanie), Donald, Cynthia and the late Clyde. Father-in-law of Jennie. Proud grandfather of Malcolm, Jessica, Nick, Zachary, Nathan and Jaydon. Dear brother of the late Eric (Nellie), Phyllis (Bill), Thomas, Angelina and Colleen (Terry). Will be missed by extended family members and dear friends.

Colin enjoyed photography and spent many hours in his “wee house” painting, carving, and drawing. Colin was a proud employee of Orenda Engines, which powered the AVRO Arrow and followed the various restoration projects over the years. Colin was a Scout Leader for several years and a member of Lorne Scots Regiment.

Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Thursday, September 4th, 2025 from 10 am until the time of Service at 11 am inside the upstairs Suite. Guests are invited to remain for a reception inside the Sir Robert Barrie Room following the service.
