It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Donald H. Fralick in his 85th year, peacefully at R.V.H. on November 20th, 2021. After suffering a short illness, he just closed his eyes…. And went to sleep.
Don is survived by his loving wife Irene. He is predeceased by his first wife Eleanor Fralick (1999).
He leaves behind his daughter Kim, son Marty (Keeley) and stepchildren Kathy and Randy Perry. Daughter-in-law Lisa (Murdoch). Grandchildren Melissa, Jen, Jordand, and Michelle. Great grandchild Ryan.
Don was an avid water skier, bowler, snowmobiling and loved cross-country skiing. He was very involved with Oro Minor Hockey and was York-Simcoe Convenor for many years.
Don could be found often in his “heaven on earth” – his garden. He loved planting and watching things grow. Every year he could hardly wait for Spring to arrive. My kitchen window is already filled with trays of flower seed pods drying for his next year’s crop.
A special thanks to the health care workers of 911 and staff of R.V.H. Every time we see a flower, we will think of Don. He will be sadly missed – But never forgotten.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Monday, November 29th, 2021 from 1 – 2 p.m., followed by service in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Masks, physical distancing, and capacity limitations are mandatory.
