Funeral services including rites, ceremonies, visitations and/or receptions. (provide bereavement services and are licensed to operate under the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002.)
Due to Ontario's Covid-19 restrictions, the funeral home can only accommodate up to 35 people in the funeral home at one time for the visitation (Guests must be wearing their masks) and allow proper social distancing. The funeral home will be enforcing the 2-metre rule for any lineup that should occur during the visitation and service.
Elsa Estela Lopez
Passed away peacefully on October29, 2021 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre - Barrie at the age of 76. Beloved wife of Manuel Lopez for over 55 years. Loving mother of Marcelo Lopez (Dolores), Sandra (Luis Mideros) and Diane (Anival Bustillo). Cherished grandmother of Stefani Lopez, Vanessa Lopez, Sofia Lopez, Nicholas Mideros, Rebecca Mideros and Noah Bustillo. Caring sister of Rosa Montesdeoca de Toledo (late Daniel Toledo), Emerita Montesdeoca de Guerrero (Wilmo Guerrero) and sister-in-law of Yolanda. Elsa will also be missed by her niece and nephew Lautaro, Milton, Liliana, Fanny, Elsa, Marcelo, Rosio, Flora, Jenny, Marcial, Elias, Giovani, Sandra, Manuel, Henry, Cecibel, Susana, Júnior, María, Verónica, Ronald, Grecia and their families. Elsa is predeceased by her parents late Alberto Montesdeoca and Zoila Etelvina Montesdeoca Arias, her siblings late Luis Montesdeoca (Carmela), Mesías Montesdeoca, Braulio Montesdeoca (Vicenta) and nephews late Jorge and William. Arrangements entrusted to Steckley Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street – Barrie. Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation held on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 2pm – 4pm and again from 7pm –9pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11 o’clock - Holy Spirit Parish, 650 Essa Road, Barrie.
