Peacefully passed at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Sunday, January 21st, 2024 at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Clarence (2011). Loving mother of Gary (Colleen) and the late Scott (2009). Mother-in-law of Deborah. Proud grandmother of Jason (Lorrie), Jonathan (Shannon), Laura (George), Ryan (Courtney) and great grandmother of Grace and Cameron. Dear sister of Stewart (Phyllis), Alma (the late John), the late Ralph and Harold (Mabel). Sister-in-law of Pat and the late Georgina and Gail. Will be missed by extended family members. Jean was a life-long resident of Arthur and will be sadly missed by her dear friends.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, January 26th, 2024 from 12 pm until the time of Service in the Chapel at 1 pm. Reception to immediately follow inside the Lower Lounge. An interment at the Greenfield Cemetery in Arthur will take place in the Spring. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff at the Mill Creek Care Centre and the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre for the kindness and compassion they treated Jean with.
