Peacefully passed at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Friday, April 17th, 2026 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Barbara (née Salisbury) for 63 years. Loving father of Shane (Tracy) and Kent (Jeanette). Proud grandfather of Sydney (Jackie), Griffin and Aidan. Great grandfather of Atlas. Dear brother of Omar (Cathy), Joe (Jane), James (Marilyn), Sally (the late Ron) and Kim. Will be missed by extended family members and dear friends.
In keeping with Gerald’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Masonic Service will take place in the future. Details will be updated once finalized.
A celebration of life will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 from 1-4 pm.
