Peacefully passed at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024 at the age of 91 years. Beloved wife of the late John Van Mazyk (2016). Loving mother of Janet, Doreen (Denis) and John (Angela). Proud Oma to 8 grandchildren and great Oma to 13 great grandchildren. Will be missed by extended family members and dear friends.
Outside of her devotion to family, Rita loved singing, playing piano, needlepoint, and knitting.
Visitation will take place at the First Christian Reformed Church, 33 Shirley Ave., Barrie on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception gathering inside the Church Hall. Private interment to follow at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Bradford.
Memorial donations may be made to World Vision or the Heart & Stroke Foundation and are greatly appreciated by the family.
