Passed away peacefully on December 29, 2021 at the Victoria Village Manor - Barrie at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Shirley Collings (Hawkins) for over 56 years. Loving father of Matthew (Anne) Collings and Catherine (Carsten Schafer). Caring brother of Paul (Barbara), Carol and Laura. Jim will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, James and Alice Collings (Ellis), Maida Collings (Cavanagh) and siblings Daisy, Joyce, Irene and Patricia. Arrangements entrusted to Steckley Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie. Friends are invited to join the family for the visitation from 10a.m. to the service time on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 11 o’clock – Steckley Gooderham Funeral Home-Barrie. If so desired, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the Victoria Village Nurses Appreciation Fund or charity of your choice.
