The family of Jim Hillock are saddened to announce his sudden passing at Southlake Hospital, Newmarket on June 15, 2025 at the age 66.

Beloved husband of Joanne Hillock (nee Riggs) for over 41 years. Honoured father of Shannon Rowlandson (Mike). Cherished “Papa” of Jesse and Colton Rowlandson. Loving son of Jean and (the late) Don Hillock. Predeceased by his brother John (May 2025). He will be sadly missed by his niece Rebecca Hillock (Kevin) and nephew Thomas Hillock (Amanda) and family.

Jim’s heart went to his high school sweetheart, Joanne. Following the blessing of their daughter, Shannon, they moved to Big Bay Point. Here Jim was the social ambassador, his music could be heard for miles.

Jim was in the car business for several years, advocating within the Toronto area before settling in Innisfil. Jim started his career as an automotive technician transitioning to Sales Associate. Jim worked in many dealerships and made plenty of friends.

In his leisure time he loved golf and hockey which he played plenty of. Jim also liked to watch the NASCAR races on Sundays.

Jim will be sadly missed by many relatives & friends.

Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on June 23, 2025 from 10 AM until the time of service in the Chapel at 11 AM. A reception will follow, before interment at St. James United Cemetery, Stroud.
