Hinze, Jean Mary (Preston)
Passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on September 16, 2022 in her 94th year. Predeceased by her parents John and Marion Preston. Beloved wife of the late Walter Hinze (1997). Loving mother of Brenda (Wayne), Bob (Michelle), Cheryl (Late Joe - 2022) and Cindy. Cherished grandmother of Tarrah (Richard), Scott, Kayla (Carlo), Ashley (Chris), Tyler (Melissa), Tanya (Steve), Alexandria and Mitchell, and great grandmother of Carleigh, William, Ava, Khaleya, Jazmyn, Levi, Dominick, Jordan, Madyson, Mason, and Graydon.
Dear sister to Arn (Jane) and Barb, sister-in-law to Ev, and also sister to the late siblings Harold, Ralph, Alex and Betty.
A visitation will be held at the Steckley – Gooderham Funeral home, 30 Worsley Street - Barrie on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 1 p.m. until the service in the funeral home Chapel at 3 p.m. A Reception is to follow the funeral service in our reception hall (lower Lounge in the Funeral Home). Interment to take place at Lakefield Cemetery – Lakefield, Ontario on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 3 p.m. Donations in Jean's memory can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
