DIAMOND, James “Jim”
Passed unexpectedly at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on October 28th, 2022 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Sharyn (nee Collie). Predeceased by his first wife, Sandra (nee Elliott). Honoured father of Richard (Mona), Scott (Kim), Kevin (Shelly), the late Elizabeth, and step-father of Chris (Rachel), and Jeff (Ashleigh). Cherished grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 1. Dear brother of Kent (Nancy), Neil (Cheryl), and Shelley.
After retiring from his career with the survey department of Ontario Hydro, Jim enjoyed travelling and spending winters in Arizona. He remained active within his community as a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Masons.
Friends are invited to join in celebrating Jim’s life at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022 from 1 – 2:30 P.M. A private interment at Barrie Union Cemetery will follow the gathering. The family have requested that masks be worn while socializing within the facility.
