Parker, Joan
Passed peacefully at Victoria Village, Barrie on January 9th, 2022 at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husband John Parker. Survived by her loving son Robert.
Joan Parker was born Joan Oulton in Halifax, NS on June 8th, 1931. She loved Halifax. Her friends and family were very important to Joan -- she loved then dearly. She attended both elementary and high school in Halifax; later, while living in Ottawa, she completed a program in hearing aid audiology and worked in the industry serving the hard of hearing both in Ottawa, and later in Barrie, Ontario where she owned the “Better Hearing Centre”. She was active in sorority; “Beta Sigma phi”. People were very important to Joan; she had many friends in the different Canadian cities where she lived. She will be missed very much indeed.
