Passed away peacefully in his own home in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Maureen (nee Walsh, 2017). Loving and wonderful Dad to daughter Ramona (Graham) and son Glenn. Best and proudest Grampa ever to Grandson Nick (Sarah) and Granddaughter Taryn. Yanko (Great-Grampa) to Paisley whom he adored. Brother to Frank (Karen) and Lil (Ed) and to many siblings that predeceased him. Will be missed by family, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Dad was born in Creighton to Matti and Branka (nee Ivankovic) Hreljac who immigrated here from Croatia. Dad was a talented Baseball player who pitched in the St. Louis Cardinals organization! Our parents settled in Barrie in 1971, dad being a Butcher by trade. Our dad thrived in the outdoors and was blessed to spend many wonderful times at their island on Ministic Lake and their winter Arizona home.
Dad had an awesome sense of humour and lived an amazing life! The days will not be the same without him but knowing he is with our Mom brings us comfort. We’ve had many happy hellos with Dad which will help us get through this final goodbye.
