Passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by his family and friends on January 26, 2026 at the age of 45. Predeceased by his parents John and Leona Wingate. Johnathon will be sadly missed by his extended family and many long-time friends.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 7 – 9 PM, and on Saturday, January 31 from 10 AM until the time of service in the Chapel at 11 AM. Guests are invited to remain for a reception gathering in the lounge, with interment to follow at Glendale Cemetery, Etobicoke.
If desired, donations in Johnathon’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
