Due to Ontario's Covid-19 restrictions, the funeral home can only accommodate up to 35 people in the funeral home at one time for the visitation. (Guests must be wearing their masks and allow proper social distancing.) The funeral home will be enforcing the 2-metre rule for any lineup that should occur during the visitation.
Marcotullio, Joseph Dominic "Joe"
It is with shattered hearts that our children and I share the news of Joe’s passing. A fighter until the end, Joe was our hero. A devoted Son, Husband, Father and Poppi; Joe gave us his all. Through his love for our grandchildren, our children would come to see the side of their Dad that was mostly hidden by twelve hour work days and the demands of his baby – Danmar Construction. Joe's work ethic was beyond measure and he solely provided for our family with great pride. A traditionalist when it came to marriage, Joe and I were equally devoted to our roles in raising four beautiful children. Not always easy, many times painful but the love we share carried us through. Predeceased by his wonderful parents Dorothy and Sonny; Joe leaves behind our beloved children Shannon (Allan), Brianne (John), Daniel and Amanda; as well as the greatest loves of his life, our grandchildren Daxton, Kenzley, Axel and a Granddaughter soon to be born. He will be lovingly remembered by his cousins, all of whom he loved dearly. Friends are invited to a visitation that will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 2pm – 4pm and again from 6pm – 8pm at the Steckley – Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. A family celebration of life will be held at a later date. If desired and in lieu of flowers, donations in Joe’s memory may be made to a charity of your choosing.
Thank you for a wonderful life, Joe. Through the many pits and the countless peaks, you were right there with me, stay with me still, dear – until we meet again.
