It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith Anne Bemrose (née Somers) on October 8, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on August 7, 1945, in Toronto, Ontario. Later making her home in Barrie, Ontario, where she was surrounded by family and friends. Judy is survived by her devoted husband Ken, her beloved children Debbie (James) and Doug, and her cherished grandchildren Amanda (Dave), Krista, (Ryan), Leah, Matthew, Alex, (Emily), Luke, Jacob, and Samantha. She was also blessed with adored great-grandchildren Cole, Sommer, Logan, Brynlee, Kayden, and Everly, who brought her endless joy and pride. Loving sister-in-law to, Warren (Linda), Julie (Bryan), Craig and Kevin. Pre-deceased by Shirley and Frank Bemrose and her loving sister-in-law Trudy. Judy will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the deep love she had for her family. She was the heart of our family - the one who knew where we came from, what we'd been through and how to hold us all together. She had a lifelong passion for stock car racing and was proud to have had a hand in building and even naming Sunset Speedway in Innisfil, cheering for her son, then her husband and most recently her great grandson. She also loved going on Harley rides with Ken, embracing the open road and the sense of freedom it brought. Judy had a deep love for all animals and found great joy in her rose gardens, where she spent many peaceful hours surrounded by beauty and nature. She created a home filled with laughter, comfort, and care, usually hosting sleepovers for her grandchildren, taking them on adventures or sitting on the front steps of her house drinking a tea and watching the world go by. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you remember Judy in your own special way - through kindness, laughter, and love shared with others.
Forever in our hearts.
Ta ta for now.
