It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved mother, Lillian Rebecca Weatherhead, who passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 23, 2026 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. Lillian was the loving wife of the late Fred Weatherhead (2007). Beloved mother of James, Barbara, Stephen, Bruce, Judith and Fred. Dear mother-in-law to Sue, Rosemary, Cindy, Claudio and Jeff. Devoted grandmother to Corey, Samantha, Jessica, Bradley, Candace, Tori, Adam, Cali, Jeffrey, Brittney, Julian and great grandmother of 10. She will be sadly missed by extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Lillian’s life will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Sunday, August 16th, 2026 with visitation taking place from 12 pm until the time of service in the Chapel at 1 pm. Guests are invited to remain for a reception following the service in the lower lounge. In keeping with Lillian’s wishes, cremation has taken place. An interment will take place at the Barrie Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County or to Diabetes Canada and are greatly appreciated by the family.
