Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Saturday, January 10th, 2026 at the age of 62 years. Devoted son of Anita Vanin and the late Liberale (2024). Loving brother of Paola Matthews (Grant), Andy Vanin (Tanya). Proud uncle of Jessica (Tim), Katherine (Matt), Andrew, Greysen, and great uncle of Olivia, Liam, and Emily. Will be sadly missed by extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 from 5-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Vianney Parish, 13 Baldwin Lane, Barrie on Thursday, January 15th, 2026 at 11 am with entombment to follow at the Beechwood Cemetery, Vaughan. Guests are welcome to join at the cemetery, but please do not feel obliged. Arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie.
