Peacefully passed at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Thursday, June 25th, 2026 at the age of 87 years.
Marcel was born in Lavigne, Ontario to the late Hector and Alida (née Vincent) Aubin. Loving husband of the late June (2023). Surviving is his son, Randy Aubin and his children with Wendy, Ashley and Jessica of North Bay and his son, Rodney Aubin, his spouse Beverly and their children Lauren and Brendan of Barrie. Dear brother of Fernand Aubin.
He was predeceased by his brothers Roland, Florian (Margaret), Roger (Katherine), Gilles (Ruth) and his sisters Fleurette Ringuette-Huard (Leo, Bob) and Claire Cushing (Wayne). Marcel will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will fondly remember his kindness and generous spirit.
Marcel dedicated 32 years of service to Bell Canada, where he was known as a hardworking and dependable auto-mechanic employee.
Marcel enjoyed many summers at the family cottage, on trout lake in North Bay. He liked fishing, hunting, gardening and endless games of euchre. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and will be remembered for his caring nature, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends.
Marcel's memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In keeping with Marcel’s wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and are greatly appreciated by the family.
