ORMONDE, Maria
Passed peacefully at Huronia Hospice Tomkins House in Penetanguishene on January 19th, 2023, at the age of 68. Maria Joaquina, born in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, was the beloved wife of Alvaro Herminio Ormonde for 46 years. Honoured mother of Debbie Galbo, mother-in- law of Edward Thomas Galbo and cherished grandmother of Jordana Harper Galbo. Predeceased by her parents; Jose Coelho de Sales and Filomena Ribeiro de Sales. Also predeceased by her brothers Francisco de Sales and Jose de Sales.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Sunday, January 22nd, 2023 from 1 – 4 PM. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Parish, 65 Amelia St., Barrie on Monday, January 23rd, at 2 PM, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Barrie.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Huronia - Tomkins House would be greatly appreciated by the family.
