Unexpectedly passed at her home in Barrie on Thursday, May 16th, 2024 at the age of 63. Beloved wife of Ken. Loving mother of Jamie (Chris), Aaron and Richmand. Proud grandmother of Wesley, Grace and Liam. Devoted daughter of Helen, predeceased by her late father Jim and late Fred. Dear sister of Jim (Elizabeth), Dan (Brenda), Diane (Don) and sister-in-law of Larry (Joyce), Darlene (Joe) and the late Frank. Sister-in-law of Ruth. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Maryanne loved her family and always enjoyed heading out on new adventures with them or her grandchildren. If you didn’t find her making memories with family, or volunteering with her church family, you could be sure to find her playing in her garden or relaxing at a game of bingo. Many great times were shared with family during vacations across the country or down to Florida. She loved working in the church, sharing her faith with whoever she could, and cherished praising the Lord. May we all find peace in knowing she is dancing in heaven with her Saviour.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 from 10 am until the time of Service inside the Chapel at 11 am. Guests are invited to remain for a reception luncheon inside the lower lounge following the Service. In keeping with Maryanne’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, June 15th, 2024, from 1-4 pm at the Army Navy and Air Force Club, 52 Morrow Road., Barrie. All are welcome to come and share some memories and stories with the family.
