Suddenly, after a courageous battle against cancer, passed at the Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Monday, January 8th, 2024 at the age of 61 years. Beloved husband of Diana Moreau. Proud stepfather of Scott Collins. Dear brother of Timothy (Lisa) Moore and Daniel Moore. Devoted uncle of Katherine Grace (Randy Feltis) Moore, Aaron (Jo) Moore and Scott Collins. Will be missed by extended family members and many dear friends.
Mike’s career energies as a City of Barrie technician focused closely for many years on the design and creation of a shared, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing Waterfront that will be enjoyed by Barrie residents for decades to come.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Thursday, January 11th, 2024 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 65 Amelia St., Barrie on Friday, January 12th, 2024 at 10 am. Interment to follow at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 208 Sunnidale Rd., Barrie. Guests are invited back to the Funeral Home for a reception following the interment. Donations in Mike’s memory may be made to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (Cancer Centre) and are greatly appreciated by the family.
