Monica “Mickey” Penak
Peacefully passed at the Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Saturday, December 23rd, 2023 at the age of 99 years. Beloved wife of the late Peter Penak (2022). Loving mother of Gary (Leslie) and the late Nancy (Dave Kerr). Proud grandmother of Brandon (Emma), Kevin, Tori (Michael), Steven and Shasta. Great grandmother of Brooks, Beau, and Colby. Survived by her sister Rose Greene and predeceased by her siblings Grace, Shirley, Mary, Vera, Francis, Anne, Joe, and Gerry. Will be sadly missed by her extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Thursday, December 28th, 2023 from 6 – 9 PM, with the Funeral Mass being held at St. Mary’s Parish, 65 Amelia St., Barrie on Friday, December 29th at 10 AM. Following the service, guests are invited back to the funeral home for a reception luncheon in the lounge before the family proceeds to St. Mary’s cemetery for the interment.
