Shortly after midnight on September 19, 2025, Muriel Grace Gibson passed away peacefully at the Simcoe Hospice — a place where only love radiates. She felt safe making this final journey on her own.

Muriel was born in Wainwright, Alberta, on October 3, the beloved daughter of Thomas and Florence, and sister to John Clark, Gord Clark, and Bob Clark. Together as a family, they traveled the world, finding homes and creating memories along the way.

Muriel went on to have three daughters: Angela Wells, Jennifer Gibson, and Heather Gibson. Along the way, she found love — but she landed most deeply in love when she met Tim Milne. He chose to love her, and she chose him right back.

Muriel also poured her heart into her work at TD Canada Trust — and I even have the pin to prove it. She made friends everywhere she went: the lifelong ones, the short but sweet ones, and the ones who stood by her in the end.

Muriel Gibson: a coffee queen, a crossword girly, a Words With Friends frequent flyer, a shopper, and a perfect-nails lady. A woman who knew what she wanted and went for it or made Tim get it.

I hope you take a moment to remember who Muriel Gibson was to you — the moments you shared, the laughs, the lessons, the love.

Her journey here has ended, but it continues on with her mother and father. The family she leaves behind will carry her memory forward in every story told and every moment of joy shared.

Muriel is lovingly remembered by her daughters Angela Wells (Ashlea Wells, Evan Wells [Kait]), Jennifer Gibson (Callie Gibson and her daughter Scarlett), and Heather Gibson (Landon, Rylan, Dillon). She also leaves behind her beloved partner Tim Milne; her adoring brothers Johnathon Clark, Gordon Clark, and Robert Clark; and a circle of friends who became family.

The family wishes to thank the compassionate team at the Simcoe Hospice for the love and care shown to Muriel in her final days.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Details regarding the celebration of life will be updated here once determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Simcoe, honouring Muriel’s generous and loving spirit. Arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie.
