Peacefully passed at her home in Barrie, after a long and courageously fought illness, on Monday, November 3rd, 2025 at the age of 62 years. Devoted daughter of Cordelia and the late Egideo “Marty” Martinello. Beloved sister of Paul Martinello (Kathy) and Ann Martinello (Green). Proud aunt of Andrew, David and Matthew. Loving niece of Janet Fabbro (Nilo), the late Mary Shelby (the late Walter), the late Vana DeMattia (the late Enio), the late Al Cevraini (Delores) and Arme Cevraini (Darlene). Will be missed by her cousins Maria, John, Brenda, Brian, Alfie, Bruce, Mark and Greg.
Nancy was a force to be reckoned with in the financial world where she held a long, successful career helping corporations and individuals achieve their financial goals. Her MBA was from U of Windsor and her undergrad in Science held from Western. She was a former ballerina, singer and volleyball player. Nancy loved running, hiking and visiting all places tropical. The shores of lake nipissing grew her love of big water, fishing and all things north! She was the best aunt and her passion for travel created a worldwide ripple of appreciation with her magnetic smile. Nancy will be dearly missed by her many friends, family and colleagues. Her nephews and her siblings Ann + Paul are heart broken beyond and are activating her STRETCH living legacy.
Keeping with Nancy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, from 3 – 5 pm. Words of Remembrance will be at 3:45 pm. If desired, donations may be made to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, directed to the Hudson Cancer Centre, or in lieu of a donation, friends are encouraged to honour Nancy’s memory through an act of kindness.
