It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Paul William Zarb on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in Barrie, at the age of 35.

Loving son of Debra Fisher and John Zarb (Michelle). Cherished brother of Mary-Jane King (Kevin). Adored uncle to Chloe and Hailey. Beloved grandson of Matthew and Mary Fisher (predeceased), Paul (predeceased), and Evelyn Zarb (predeceased). Dear nephew of Brenda (Bill), Robert, Diana, Kenneth (Debbie), Matthew (predeceased), Douglas, Donald, Shari (Jimmy), Mary (Pat), Carol (Steven), and Arlene (Grant). Paul will be sadly missed by many cousins, extended family, and friends from across Canada.

Paul had a deep love for animals and was known as a hardworking, adventurous spirit with a heart of gold. He found peace and happiness outdoors, especially while exploring nature. Naturally athletic, Paul enjoyed many sports and, in his younger years, played hockey, snowboarded, wakeboarded, and snowmobiled. Music was another passion of his, and he was a gifted guitar player. Paul was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He was happiest behind the wheel, heading to his next adventure. Over the years, he lived and worked in many provinces across Canada, developing a strong love for the mountains, fishing, and hunting—places where he felt most at home.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with a reception to follow inside the lower lounge. Anyone who knew Paul is welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Paul’s memory to etransfer@bulkleyharmreduction.org.
