Peter Logan was born on January 17, 1966 in Lindsay, Ontario. He passed away unexpectedly at the Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto on December 29, 2023 at the age of 57. Loving son of Pamela (née Peake) and the late David Logan. Dear brother of Hugh (Patty) and Jocelyn (Bob). Proud uncle of David, Liam, and Phoebe. He will be missed by extended family members and dear friends.

Peter grew up in Lindsay and Barrie where he enjoyed exercising his creative spirit through his participation in school musicals and guitar sessions with friends. After completing an Honours degree in International Relations at the University of Toronto, Peter ventured off to Japan where he worked as a teacher in the Public School system. This marked the beginning of Peter’s affinity for Asia. Upon leaving Japan, he enrolled in the Asia Pacific Studies course at Capilano College in Vancouver.  His next move was to Sulawesi, Indonesia to work with INCO Mining. He became proficient in computer programming and applied his skills designing websites for Balinese resorts and MTV Asia. These experiences lead to employment with APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) as well as GlaxoSmithKline. While in Singapore, Peter married the love of his life, Tina Johdi.

Peter battled with addiction and returned to Barrie in 2017. While he was unable to overcome the battle, he was a persistent fighter who loved music and cooking, and who had a great concern for the lack of peace on our planet. In the end, he found a way to give back to his community through organ donation.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 from 11-1 pm. In honour of Peter’s memory, you may consider registering with the Trillium Gift of Life Network or make a donation to CMHA or the charity of your choice.
