Pass, Peter
Died peacefully on July 29, 2021 in Barrie, Ontario. He was in his 84th year. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Louise Pass. Survived by his wife of 57 years Heidi and brother David Pass of Cambridge. Fondly remembered by Pass, Weber and Bullivant relatives across the country.
Peter grew up in Preston, Ontario and attended local schools where he participated in a variety of activities. He particularly enjoyed playing the drums in the Preston Scout House Band which toured throughout North America. Peter held degrees from both Western University and Wilfrid Laurier University where he obtained his Master of Business Administration degree.
Most of Peter’s professional life was spend as a professor in the business division at Georgian College in Barrie. In retirement he chaired the Georgian College Retirees Association.
Peter and Heidi enjoyed travel especially the winter trips to Florida as well as skiing and sailing. Peter was Commodore of the Kempenfelt Yacht Club and through this role established many lifelong friendships. The Westies were an important part of life for the Peter and Heidi. In recent years Peter found great enjoyment in the company of the family pets.
A memorial service will take place on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11 am at St. James Anglican Church in Stratford, Ontario. A celebration of Life May be held in Barrie at a later date. Covid-19 protocols will be in place. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, The Salvation Army or the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Cancer Program in Barrie.
