With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Ray, comfortably at home in the arms of his beloved wife Mary.

Ray was a remarkably happy, easy going and content gentleman.  Arriving in Canada from the UK in 1968, Ray took instantly to our land and the great outdoors.  He especially loved his time on Georgian Bay, taking a very humble cabin and turning it into a wonderful island retreat.  Bon fires enjoyed on the beach surrounded by family, friends and neighbours with Ray telling his marvelous lengthy stories.

Unfortunately Alzheimer's stepped in and started to wipe Ray's slate clean of those precious memories, but thankfully it did not alter his easy going and very happy temperament.

Ray is survived in the UK by his brother Steve (Tracy), sister Carol (Brian) and many UK nieces and nephews, his loving wife Mary, their daughter Ashley Rae (Michael) granddaughter Tia (apple of his eye), his former wife and friend Jacquie (Michael),  son Ian (Lisa) granddaughter Lauren, daughter Claire (Sheldon), granddaughter Sara and  grandson Josh.

Ray was especially respected, loved and will be cherished forever by Mary's 6 brothers, Paul G, Bernard, Martin, John (Steph), Robert and Gerrard Lee. Will also be missed by cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and former colleagues.  Everyone loved Ray!

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ray's memory may be made to Covenant House and are greatly appreciated by the family.

Condolences
