On March 23rd, 2026, Robert “Bob” Turner passed away in his sleep at home.
Robert was loved endlessly by his wife, Wendy, of almost 51 years, his three daughters, Heidi, Stacey, and Beckie, his six grandchildren, Izzie, Jack, Charlie, Fionntan, Haiden and Tadhgh, many neices and nephews, and family friends, and of course— his two dogs, Elly May and Lulu. He was a proud fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and he loved movie nights, working on things in his shop, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles, and liquorice all-sorts candies.
In his final moments, he was surrounded by his loved ones in the comfort of his living room. He was one of the kindest, bravest, sweetest men the Turner family has come to know, and he will be missed dearly by us all. Gone but never forgotten.
Visitation to take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026 from 12 pm until the time of service in the Chapel at 1 pm. Guests are invited to remain for a reception following the service inside the lower lounge. A Livestream of the service will be made available here about 10 minutes ahead of the service start time.
Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or in lieu of flowers cheer for the Leafs.
