Peacefully passed after a lengthy and courageous few years with Alzheimer’s on Saturday August 20th, 2022. Beloved husband of Velma (nee Pilkey) for seventy years on August 2nd. Loving father of Greg (Teresa) and the late Janis. Proud grandfather of Lisa Legault (David) of Campbell Rive B.C, Krystle O’link (Allan), Tim, Daniel, Jonathan and great grandfather of Keenan, Zolan, Desera, Jade, Lillian, Mikayla and Natalie. Son of the late William and Beatrice Bradley. Brother of the late Ruth Daffernn (Charley), Joyce Dobson (Elmer), Marion Maw (Bruce). Survived by sister Ann Farquhar (Jim).

Ross had a 33-year career with Canadian General Electric and Black & Decker until the plant closed in 1986. Ross worked as a computer systems designer graduate of the company’s financial management program. He was totally conversant with all aspects of financial planning, budgeting and administration benefits specialist. Ross was an avid fisherman. He loved the water and enjoyed teaching swimming lessons in his younger years. Gardening was a delight for Ross. He was known to have grown the best roses, dahlias, gladiolus and many more. In retirement, Ross and wife Velma owned and operated Cardinal Berry Farm on Line 5 Oro. He also enjoyed a good card game.

Visitation will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 at 11 am until the time we celebrate Ross’s life in the Chapel at 12 pm. Reception to follow inside the lower lounge. Inurnment will occur at the Guthrie cemetery following the reception. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Simcoe County and are greatly appreciated by the family.
