It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Ryan Crowe, who passed away at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Sunday, July 5th, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on January 17, 1971, in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Ryan will be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his family.
Beloved and devoted spouse of Michelle Roote, with whom he shared 38 wonderful years. Cherished father of David Roote, Jason (Laura), Summer (Rogerio) and the late Jordan (2014). Ryan was an incredibly proud grandfather to Layton, Landon, Lennex, Ryer, Kaydan, Winston, Jasper, Aria, and Lilah, each of whom brought immense joy to his life.
Loving son of Diane and Layton Crowe. Dear brother of Rick Crowe (Bernice) and Randy Crowe (Carolyn). Loving son-in-law of Kenneth Sandy and the late Rosalie Sandy, and dear brother-in-law of Gary Adam Sandy.
Ryan's family would also like to recognize Holly Bimm, the mother of Layton, Landon, and Lennex, whose place within the family was valued and appreciated.
Ryan's love for his family was evident in everything he did. He will be deeply missed by his extended family, many friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the countless moments shared with those he loved most.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., on Saturday, July 11th, 2026 from 1-5 pm. In keeping with Ryan’s wishes, cremation will take place. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice and are greatly appreciated by the family.
