It is with great sorrow that the family of Selma Taylor mark her passing in Petrolia on August 29, 2026.
Selma was born Selma Patterson in Vespra township 100 years ago, daughter of late Louisa and late Robert. Selma has joined her husband Harold and her son Anthony in paradise.
Mother of Bernadette Pollen, Wilma Lorraine Bastien (Daniel), Patricia Dobbie (Glen), Janet Gignac (Serge), and Rodney Taylor (Kathy) as well as Tony.
She was predeceased by her dear siblings: John, Elsie, Audrey Cole, Georgina Micks, Leonard, Douglas, Dennis, Robert, and Bernard. Selma will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews as well as her many grandchildren and great grand children and other extended family as well as her dear friends.
A chapel service will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026, at 11am. The family welcomes guest to arrive up to 30 minutes prior to the service. Guest are invited to remain for a reception following the service inside the lower lounge. Interment will take place the Barrie Union Cemetery, 338 Sunnidale Road, Barrie on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026 at 2pm.
