Theresa passed away peacefully with family at her side. Beloved wife of Peter for over 61 years. Loving mother of Geralynn (Risto), Michael (Claudette), David (Carol), the late Christopher (Catherine), Thomas (Lisa), and Angela (Brad).
Cherished Gramma to her grandchildren Andrew, Cassandra, Alyssa, Christopher, Kristan, Gabriella, Nicholas, Joey, Taylor, Christopher and Matthew and her great grandchildren Alexandre, Gunnar, Charlie, Zoe and Nicholas.
Lovingly remembered by her Duff and De Lenardo families.
Theresa was a woman of strong faith, resilience and strength of character. She was a teacher by profession and a proud and active member of the Catholic Women’s League. Theresa was born to John and Ethel Duff in Kirkland Lake, Ontario where she grew up with her much loved sisters Cecilia, Noella, Ann and Mary and brothers John, Eric, Richard, Leslie, Thomas, Philip, Carl and Harold. It was in Kirkland Lake where Theresa and Peter first met and later married. They were devoted to each other and together raised their six children in a busy home filled with much love and laughter. Their faith and love helped them to bare the sorrow of the loss of their beloved son Christopher.
Throughout her life, Theresa shared her wonderful sense of humour with those she knew and loved with her beautiful smile and a twinkle in her eyes. Her gentle spirit touched the hearts of many. She has left us the treasure of many beautiful memories and will be forever in our hearts.

Friends are invited to the visitation on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 2 pm to 4 pm and again at 6 pm to 8 pm at the Steckley Gooderham Funeral Home – 30 Worsley Street, Barrie. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 10:30 am at the Holy Spirit Parish in Barrie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Spirit Parish (Barrie), Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
