GERRITY, Thomas Edward David
Passed away unexpectedly at the age of 30 on Thursday, December 22, 2022, in Thornton, Ontario.
Thomas was born on February 18, 1992 in Barrie, Ontario to Linda Joan Gerrity (nee King) and Blaine Patrick Gerrity both of Toronto, Ontario. After graduating High School, Thomas worked in various capacities for his family’s business. His favourite occupation was that of Design which allowed him to combine the use of computers with his wonderful artistic talents. At the age of 27, Thomas was diagnosed with cancer and underwent treatments for it. He eventually moved back home with his parents so he could recuperate and pursue his passion for computer gaming and design. Due to complications from follow up care, Thomas passed away. Thomas’ premature passing is leaving a big hole in the lives of his family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his parents Blaine and Linda, his brothers Jason and James Gerrity, his sister Shannon McKay (nee Gerrity) and her husband Jeff McKay, and his grandparents Tom and Jean Gerrity, and late grandmother Lorraine King. He was a very proud Uncle to Sam, Katie, Alice and Cara.
Cremation has taken place, with arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. The family will be holding a celebration of life in spring 2023. A date will be communicated to family and friends.
