With full hearts and profound gratitude, we share the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Oma, sister, and friend on July 10, 2025 — our mom was 91 years young!
Predeceased by her two loving husbands, Nick Botman and Allan Shrubsole, she carried their memory in her heart with quiet strength and grace. Though we now say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing they are reunited once more.
She leaves behind her greatest pride and joy—her four devoted daughters: Marilyn (Brad), Belinda (Egon), Darlene (Robb), and Nicole (Larry). To her adored grandchildren—Cameron, Whitney, Madison, Nicholas, Andrew, and Abby, and her four great grandchildren- Kaes, Cora, Chloe, and Miles—she was more than just Oma; she was a guiding light, a warm hug, and a cherished presence.
She also held a special place in her heart for her sister, Lida Bigham, and her extended sons, Dan and Paul Shrubsole and their families.
Special thanks go to the compassionate care team at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, especially Dr. Duvall, Dr. Monnin, Dr. Cohen, Nurses Addy and Lisa.
Her bonds of family knew no borders, and her love spanned generations and continents. She was the heart of our family.
