After a brief and unexpected illness, peacefully passed with family by his side at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Saturday, May 6th, 2023 at the age of 53 years. Beloved husband of Susanna (née D’Alimonte). Loving father of Victor, Kaitlin and Brienna. Proud son of Florence and the late Victor Milne. Dear brother of Cathie and Leslie. Will be missed by his aunt, uncles, cousins, nephews & nieces, in-laws,  dear friends and is dog Aife.

Gord was a proud & devoted stay-at-home dad – he did anything for his children.  Crazy hair day, sports games, awards ceremonies, custom class collages for the teachers.  He was the chef in the family and cultivated his flower and vegetable gardens.  He was always on call as the family IT guy.  As a Mr. Fix-it, he would tinker with anything that needed fixing, usually getting it right, a definite DIY’er.  He was also a poet and dreamed of writing a novel one day.

Visitation will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, May 13th, 2023 from 12 pm until the time we celebrate Gordon’s life in the Chapel at 1 pm. A reception will follow inside the lower lounge. In keeping with Gordon’s wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Barrie Food Bank, or a local Food Bank of choice and are greatly appreciated by the family.
