It is with deep sadness that the family announces his passing on Friday, June 5th, 2026, at the age of 70 yrs. Al is reunited with his beloved wife Frances. Loving stepfather of Eric Warren and Tammie Warren. Predeceased by his stepdaughter Valerie Sutherland. Cherished grandfather of Lauren, Amanda, Alexandra, Alicia, Felix, Dylan, Lucas and Laryssa. Dear brother of Sandra, Geraldine, Donna, Peggy, Roberta “Joanne”, Lyn, Sharyn “Dianne”, Tina, and George. Al will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In his younger years, Al enjoyed playing softball and football, with Frances always cheering him on from the sidelines. He loved old cars and enjoyed attending car shows whenever he could. Al and Frances also shared many happy times together going to Bingo. He was also well known for his love of Burger King Whoppers, something those closest to him will fondly remember with a smile.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Leacock Care Centre and the Orillia Soldier’s Memorial Hospital for the care, compassion and kindness shown to Al throughout his time with them. Keeping with his wishes’ there will be no visitation or service, a private cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home. In Al’s memory, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
