It is with deep sorrow that the family announces her passing on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in Barrie at the age of 75 years. Loving wife of Michael. Beloved mother of Janine. Proud grandmother of Rhylee and Remmington. Dear sister of Bruce (Janet) Cummins, the late Gary (Nancy) Cummins and sister-in-law of Eric Russell and the late Catherine (the late Barry). Gail will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Gail was actively involved in Girl Guides, where she earned many badges throughout her time with the organization. She had a great passion for bowling and dedicated much of her time to the sport as the Program Director for the Barrie Youth 10 Pin group. Gail also loved gardening, especially watching her flowers bloom, while Michael took care of much of the work in the garden.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Saturday, October 24th from 12 pm until the time of the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2 pm. Guests are invited to remain for a reception following the service inside the lower lounge. In Gail’s memory donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
